One of the best phones, Xiaomi, has once more added an outstanding camera. This time, it upgraded the Xiaomi 12 Pro to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.9 standard wide lens.
It’s not the largest sensor Xiaomi has ever used in a phone, but it does feature a large image chip and a wide aperture lens.
It is, in fact, a Sony IMX707 chip. According to Xiaomi, it was the first to do so on a mobile device. According to Gizmochina, the IMX700’s 707 has an extremely weak refresh rate. Gizmochina notes that this adds a little bit of excitement.
It’s a sizable sensor of the type 1/1.28-inch. For low-light images, Sony merged its 1.22 m pixels into larger 2.44 m “4-in-1” pixels, which is fairly enormous for a mobile camera sensor.
Two additional 50-megapixel rear camera sensors are available on the Xiaomi 12 Pro. They consist of a telephoto and an ultrawide sensor. The sensor size of the Xiaomi 12 is 1/1.56 inches smaller. It sports a 5-megapixel “telemacro” and a 13-megapixel “ultrawide” camera. It features camera software advancements including continuous shooting enhancements and theme tracking for human and animal faces, in addition to the excellent hardware, in 12 and 12 Pro Aperture adjustment.
With Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets and 120Hz OLED displays, the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 completely round off the edges of contemporary flagships. Xiaomi’s 12 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch screen with 1,500 nits of peak brightness and a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charging, compared to the Xiaomi 12’s 6.28-inch screen and 4,500mAh battery.
On December 31st, China began selling the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 smartphones, both of which boast excellent smartphone cameras. Xiaomi 12 will begin selling at 1,000,000 RMB (RMB 3,699 / USD 580) for the same 8GB/128GB variant, while the 12 Pro will start at 1300,000 RMB (RMB 4,699 / USD $737).
