The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which make up half of Google’s upcoming flagship smartphones, will be released concurrently in the fall. The mid-range Pixel 5a has been formally unveiled by the firm, who claims that it will be the final Pixel phone to come with a charger (or adapter). We used the occasion to share a brand-new Pixel 6 series informational detail.
There were numerous brands that Apple produced before they ceased using iPhone 12 charges (or adapters), at which point Apple was hailed as a true trendsetter (a strange thing). The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not ship with a charger or adaptor, according to a recent announcement from Google.
When Apple and Samsung announced they would no longer provide a charger (or adapter), they made excuses. This may be true. But cost savings, as it doesn’t include a charger (or) adapter, probably played a big role in those decisions. Therefore, Google is currently following in the footsteps of the biggest companies, Apple and Samsung.
There is also an environmental argument for throwing away a charger (or adapter). In theory, unnecessary chargers (or adapters) delivered to customers reduce e-waste. However, this is hard to prove. As people buy from third-party manufacturers, the greenhouse gas emissions and shipping accessory chargers will be spread among other companies.
The good news is that since the three main phone producers have decided against chargers (or converters), it will be simpler for smaller businesses to do the same. The same pricing and savings should be available to all phone buyers.
